Star Air to Launch Direct Flights Between Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda from August 16

Bhubaneswar: Star Air is all set to begin direct flight operations between Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda from August 16, 2025. The new route marks a major step in improving regional air connectivity within Odisha.
Bookings for the flights have already commenced on Star Air’s official website and various leading travel portals, offering passengers an early opportunity to plan their journeys.
“This new service expands our reach in eastern India and strengthens intra-state connectivity in Odisha,” said Shilpa Bhatia, Chief Commercial Officer of Star Air. “It responds to the growing demand for affordable and convenient regional air travel, making commuting easier for both business and leisure passengers.”
The route will be served by the Embraer E175 aircraft, which features a comfortable 2×2 seating layout in both business and economy class. Star Air has also announced that passengers will enjoy hot meals and beverages onboard, maintaining the airline’s hospitality standards.
This development is expected to benefit travelers, industry professionals, and frequent flyers by saving time and offering a reliable alternative to lengthy road or rail journeys. The move is also in line with the UDAN scheme’s objective to connect underserved airports and promote regional aviation growth in India.
