Odisha Govt cracks down on fake doctors in PPP healthcare services
In response to alarming reports of unqualified individuals posing as medical professionals, the Odisha government has launched a stringent verification process for doctors and specialists involved in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) healthcare services. All Chief District Medical Officers (CDMOs), Public Health Officers (PHOs), and relevant Directors have been instructed to rigorously check the credentials of these medical practitioners. Compliance reports are to be submitted to the department within a week, ensuring swift and thorough scrutiny.
As part of this verification process, doctors and specialists must present themselves in person, along with their credential documents, before the CDMOs, PHOs, and the Directors of the concerned health institutions.
