Odisha Gears Up to Host ODISHA TEX 2025 to Boost Textile Industry

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is set to host ODISHA TEX 2025, a landmark textile summit organized by the Government of Odisha to position the state as a premier hub for textiles, apparel, and technical textiles. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will inaugurate the event.

The summit will witness participation from over 300 delegates representing key textile centres such as Tirupur, Bengaluru, Surat, NCR, Punjab, and West Bengal. Industry leaders, manufacturers, global brands, startups, and young professionals will converge to explore new opportunities in the sector.

ODISHA TEX 2025 will serve as a strategic platform to showcase investment potential in apparel, footwear, accessories, technical textiles, and luggage manufacturing. The event is expected to see the signing of major MoUs and new investment announcements, further strengthening Odisha’s textile ecosystem.

A key highlight will be the launch of six integrated parks dedicated to textile, apparel, and wearable technology, featuring world-class infrastructure. This initiative aligns with Odisha’s vision of becoming the “Textile Capital of India” by 2030.

Hemant Sharma, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, said the summit will attract major textile players, creating employment and supporting women’s empowerment and rural transformation.

FICCI, the industry partner, is facilitating participation from leading associations across fibre, hosiery, and apparel sectors. Building on the momentum from the “Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,” which secured ₹7,762 crore in textile investments and 88,000 job commitments, ODISHA TEX 2025 further strengthens investor confidence under the amended OATTP-2022 policy.

The summit marks Odisha’s growing prominence in the national textile map and aligns with India’s broader goal of regional industrial development under “Purvodaya Bharat.” Through a focus on innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration, the event is poised to drive inclusive economic growth in the region.
