NTPC Donates ₹63.59 Lakh Worth of Medical Equipment to AIIMS Bhubaneswar

CSR initiative enhances patient care, reinforces NTPC’s commitment to public health infrastructure
In a significant contribution to Odisha’s healthcare infrastructure, NTPC Ltd. (Eastern Region-II Headquarters, Bhubaneswar) has provided essential medical equipment worth ₹63.59 lakh to AIIMS Bhubaneswar under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. The donation is aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency at one of India’s premier medical institutions.
The equipment handover includes 50 Rapid Emergency Recovery Trolleys, 50 AYUSH Fixed-Height Overbed Tables, 60 Folding Wheelchairs with Cushions, and 60 Stretchers on Trolleys. These medical assets are expected to improve mobility, patient handling, and emergency response capabilities across multiple departments of the hospital.
The formal handover ceremony took place on Wednesday, where Shri Arindam Sinha, Regional Executive Director (East-II), NTPC, presented the equipment to Prof. (Dr) Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sinha stated, “NTPC remains steadfast in its commitment to social welfare. Through this contribution, we aim to support institutions like AIIMS in delivering high-quality healthcare to the community.”
Prof. (Dr) Biswas welcomed the support, noting that the new equipment would greatly aid the hospital’s efforts to deliver efficient and compassionate patient care. “This partnership with NTPC will strengthen our infrastructure and improve the day-to-day experience for both patients and staff,” he said.
This initiative is part of NTPC’s broader CSR strategy, which prioritizes impactful investments in health, education, and rural development. By aligning with leading public institutions, NTPC aims to drive measurable improvements in essential public services.
